海外教員募集】The Hebrew University in Jerusalem is inviting applications for a tenure-track position in Buddhist Studies. Preference is for candidates having specialization in Tibetan Buddhism, but scholars working on Japanese Buddhism will also be considered.

The position is open to all candidates who have attained a Ph.D. degree, and to advanced doctoral students who expect to be granted their Ph.D. no later than June 30, 2021.

The European Association for Japanese Studies (EAJS) invites doctoral students in all fields of Japan-related research (humanities and social sciences) to apply for the 17th EAJS Workshop for Doctoral Students (23–26 August 2020).

 

Graduate students working on a dissertation topic related to Japan, regardless of citizenship, who are enrolled at universities in Europe, and students of European nationality who are enrolled in graduate programs outside Europe are eligible. 

 

Venue: KU Leuven, Belgium

UKABS is seeking contributions for the next conference to be hosted by the Edinburgh Buddhist Studies network on 1st and 2nd July 2021. The theme of the conference is “Word, Image, Object, Performance.”

We are planning a “hybrid” conference, where online participation will be the norm, but – if possible – we will also gather a small group of UK-based participants in Edinburgh itself.

Interested participants may send a proposal (up to 250 words) to buddhist.studies@ed.ac.uk by the end of February 2021.

The scholarly journal Extrême-orient, Extrême-occident, vol. 46 is seeking academic papers from perspective contributors with a thematic interest in the area of caricature in East Asia.

The deadline for a title and abstract is May 31st 2021, and the papers are expected no later than September 30th, 2021.

原稿募集The Doctoral Program in Buddhist Studies at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) calls for papers for the workshop “Buddhism and Language – A Twofold Perspective: The Role of Language in Buddhist Teachings and the Role of Buddhist Sources in Linguistic Research,” to be held on October 22-23, 2021 in Munich, Germany.

Depending on situations, the workshop may be held in hybrid format (in presence and online). Early career scholars, especially PhD students as well as established scholars are invited to submit proposals.
